Meet Top SYOSSET & LONG BEACH PERIODONTIST Dr. Jo Anne Barbaruolo

Dr. Barbaruolo received her undergraduate degree in biology at New York University. She then completed her doctorate of dental surgery at NYU College of Dentistry and then completed a residency in dental medicine at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center. Knowing that she had a passion for saving teeth, she was accepted into and graduated from Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery, receiving her post graduate degree in Periodontics.

Since 1994, Dr. Barbaruolo has been in private practice specializing in Periodontics with services in Implants. Her main focus is treating gum disease to make and keep gums and mouths healthy.  Healthy gums are important for healthy bodies and teeth.

She believes in listening closely to the patient to ensure that the treatment plan is custom fit to them.  Medical history, medications, family history are all important in treatment planning.  Soft tissue exams including oral cancer screenings are performed often by all the providers in her practice.

Including private practice for almost 30 years, Dr. Barbaruolo has taught periodontics at Columbia University and Northwell/LIJ.

The philosophy of the entire practice is to listen, be compassionate, and to perform exceptional periodontal treatment.

Dr. Barbaruolo feels honored to treat her patients and help them gain healthy mouths and smiles!  When she is not working she enjoys spending time with her family and dog!
